According to the Diplom at the Unternehmerpreis Nordschweiz 2009 Delta Energy Solution AG again was decorated with a popular award. Oracle (Switzerland) GmbH awarded Delta "Industry Partner of the Year 2011". Oracle recognizes with the "Partner of the Year" announcement outstanding performances of their partners. 

In addition to the long running and very close partnership between Oracle and Delta, Oracle praised Delta for its certifications and the values of services offered to Oracle clients. The new product architecture of DeltaXE is a new configurative approach, based on embedded Oracle technologies -it's a new and outstanding product for the utilities market that was never seen before in this combination.

Am 10. Juni 2009 beschloss der deutsche Regulator - die Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA) die Vereinheitlichung der Bilanzkreisabrechnung. MaBiS, die Abkürzung für Marktregeln für die Durchführung der Bilanzkreisabrechnung Strom, ist demnach für jeden Marktteilnehmer obligatorisch um- und einzusetzen. Per 1. April 2011 werden innerhalb Deutschlands für die Bilanzkreisabrechnung einzig die mit MaBiS beschriebenen Geschäftsprozesse angewendet. MaBiS regelt den bidirektionalen Datenverkehr bei der Abrechnung zwischen den vier Parteien Verteilnetzbetreiber (VNB), Bilanzkreiskoordinator (BIKO), Lieferant (LF) und Bilanzkreisverantwortlicher (BKV).

Delta erhielt die Aufgabe, die MABIS konforme Kommunikation für Statkraft und deren Rollen – LF/BKV – umzusetzen. Ende Oktober 2010 erhielten wir den Auftrag und am 31. Dezember 2010 die ersten Testdaten von einem der 4 BIKOs in Deutschland. In der Nacht vom 29. auf den 30. März konnte der ET3000-MaBiS-Release 3.12.1.0 erfolgreich bei Statkraft produktiv gesetzt werden.

Those who had to deal with high availability and fault tolerance in the Windows environment so far, did always have the following choice:
An HA solution provides sufficient performance but in case of failure there is a short interruption (by booting the system on another node).
The FT solutions by Marathon for Citrix Xen Server or VMware FT ran without interruption although but were always limited to one single core due to the lockstep mode.

The recently introduced everRun mx software enables the use of multiple virtual CPUs and SMP fault-tolerant Level 3 using standard Intel servers.
This is 100% application availability, not only for low performance applications, but also for all Windows systems - at an unbeatable price.
Since everRun mx is a pure software solution, the use of standard hardware for  implementation is totally sufficient. The current system requirements are limited to servers with Intel CPUs. The work on a AMD solution is still ongoing.

Münchenstein, Switzerland, June 15, 2010 – Marathon Technologies today announced that van Baerle, a Swiss manufacturer of specialty chemicals and silicate products, has selected Marathon’s everRun VM high availability software. van Baerle chose Marathon’s everRun as it provides the highest levels of protection against downtime for van Baerle’s most critical applications including Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and Navision ERP System. In addition, everRun meets the company’s strict requirements for application availability.

everRun replaces van Baerle’s previous VMware solution, which did not provide the reliability required by the company for their critical manufacturing and business applications. The existing environment was migrated to Marathon everRun from Citrix XenServer by Marathon’s Swiss Reseller Delta Energy Solution AG.

On account of the new marketing opportunity for producers of electricity from renewable energy sources and the new obligation for transmission system operators to market electricity from renewable energy sources in the spot market of an electricity exchange, Delta Energy Solutions and iorf/cf-HSG carried out comprehensive analyses on possible effects on the dynamism of electricity prices within the EEX.

These analyses show that the seasonality curves will change within the hourly price forward curve (HPFC) for EEX Phelix when the framework applicable from 2010 on is taken into account. Based on our findings, we offer a Green HPFC for EEX Phelix from now on. During a transition period, this Green HPFC will be available in addition to the HPFC based on the previous framework.

The quality of this Green HPFC will be assessed on a monthly basis and the results will be communicated in reports.

As soon as we can stick with our analysis that maps the "new" eco-HPFC HPFC relation to the existing structure of the hourly clearing prices significantly better, we will continue the eco-HPFC as "only". The old HPFC is then suspended.
