Performance Metrics in a Database Environment Illustraded by the Example of Cost-Critical Processes in Energy Trade
On 30 September 2007, Julia Burger successfully completed her Business Informatics studies at the UCEL with her diploma thesis.
The liberalization of the energy market has considerably changed the requirements to be met by software used in the energy trading segment.
The performance of energy trading software constitutes one of the priority areas in development and has to be continuously monitored in live operation. Indicators can be used to assess the performance of a software and to evaluate whether the software lives up to market requirements.
The objective of the diploma thesis was to identify the processes of the energy trading system with the lowest performance and to define requirements for performance measurements.
